Linking a Salesforce Record
Linking connects a specific Salesforce record — a Case, Lead, Opportunity, or Contact — to a Jira issue. Once linked, the record's data appears in the issue panel and syncs according to the binding's field mappings.
Any Jira user who can view the issue can link a record, as long as the project has at least one binding with an entity mapping for the current issue type.
Steps
Open the Salesforce panel on a Jira issue
Navigate to any issue in a project with a Salesforce binding. Scroll to the Salesforce panel in the right sidebar.
Click Link Salesforce Record
If no record is linked yet, the panel shows an empty state with the Link Salesforce Record button.

Search for the record
The search modal opens. Type part of the record name or ID to search. Results are filtered by the Salesforce object type configured in the entity mapping for this issue type.

Select and confirm
Click the record you want to link. The modal closes and the record appears in the issue panel.

Linking Multiple Records
You can link more than one Salesforce record to a single Jira issue. After the first record is linked, click + Link Another Record at the bottom of the panel to search and add another.
Each linked record is shown as a separate association card with its own Push, Pull, and Unlink actions.
What Happens After Linking
Linking does not immediately push or pull data. The initial sync status is Never synced. To populate the panel with Salesforce field values, click Pull on the association card.
If Auto-Push is enabled, the next time the Jira issue is updated, data will be pushed to the linked Salesforce record automatically.
