Manually Pulling from Salesforce

Manually Pulling from Salesforce

Pull fetches the current state of a linked Salesforce record and does two things: updates the Jira issue fields that have a Salesforce → Jira or Bidirectional field mapping, and refreshes the cached field values shown in the association card.

Steps

  1. Open the issue with a linked Salesforce record.

  2. In the Salesforce panel, find the association card.

  3. Click Pull.

The connector fetches the Salesforce record from the API, applies any field mappings in the Salesforce → Jira direction, writes updated values to the Jira issue, and stores the full fetched field set in the issue's cached data.

What Gets Updated

  • Jira fields — any field with a mapping of direction Salesforce → Jira or Bidirectional is written to the Jira issue. Fields with direction Jira → Salesforce are not touched by a pull.

  • Cached display values — all display fields configured for this SF object type are fetched and cached, so the association card shows fresh values immediately.

Refresh Without Updating Jira Fields

If you have no Salesforce → Jira field mappings configured but still want to see updated Salesforce data in the panel, Pull still works — it fetches and caches the display fields even if there are no Jira fields to update.
