Project Settings

Project Settings

The Projects tab in E-SignSeal Settings controls which Jira projects are enabled for contract execution. Only issues from enabled projects can be selected when a Sender creates a new contract.

Accessing Project Settings

  1. In E-SignSeal, select Settings in the sidebar.

  2. The Settings page opens to the Projects tab by default.

Only Workspace Admins can view and modify Project Settings.

Enabling and disabling projects

The Projects tab lists all Jira projects your site has. Each project row shows:

  • Project name and key

  • Project type (Software, Business, Service Management, etc.)

  • Enable toggle — on or off

Select the toggle next to a project to enable or disable it. Changes take effect immediately — no save button is required.

Enabling a project

When you enable a project:

  • Senders can link contracts to issues from that project

  • The project's custom Jira fields become available as merge-field options in the template editor

Disabling a project

When you disable a project:

  • Senders can no longer create new contracts linked to issues from that project

  • Existing contracts linked to issues in that project are unaffected. In-progress contracts continue and can be completed.

  • Existing templates that reference fields from that project are unaffected — field chips still resolve correctly when the template is used against a still-enabled project

Searching projects

If your Jira instance has many projects, use the Search projects field at the top of the list to filter by project name or key.

Enable only the projects where contract execution is a regular part of the workflow. Disabling projects you do not use keeps the Senders' issue-search results clean and reduces the risk of contracts being linked to the wrong project.

A common setup:

  • Enable LEGAL (Legal Operations project) for NDA and services agreements

  • Enable HR (Human Resources project) for employment contracts

  • Leave all other projects disabled initially; enable on request
