Reviewing, Consenting, and Signing
After you verify your identity with the OTP code, your signing session moves through three final stages: Review (re-confirm the document), Consent (legal agreement to sign electronically), and Capture (record your signature). This page walks through each stage.

Stage 1 — Review the document
The signing session opens with the full contract document displayed. Read the entire document carefully before proceeding. This is your opportunity to raise any concerns — once you submit your signature, the action is permanent.
If anything is unclear or incorrect, you can decline the contract at any point before submitting. Declining notifies the Sender immediately.
Select Sign this document when you are ready to proceed. This action triggers the OTP email (see Verifying Your Identity).
Stage 2 — Consent
After the OTP is verified, the session returns you to the document for the Consent stage. You must:
Scroll to the bottom of the contract document. E-SignSeal tracks whether you have scrolled through the full document — the consent checkbox is disabled until you reach the end.
Check the consent checkbox. The checkbox reads:
I consent to sign this document electronically. I understand this constitutes a legally binding signature equivalent to a handwritten signature.
Select Continue to sign.
The audit trail records both the scroll-to-bottom event and the consent checkbox selection with timestamps.
Stage 3 — Capture your signature
The signature capture panel presents two options:

Draw your signature
Select the Draw tab. A blank canvas appears. Use your mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen to draw your signature. Select Clear to start over if needed.
Tips for a clean drawn signature:
Use slow, deliberate strokes — the canvas captures every movement.
On a trackpad, use a single finger and draw in one continuous motion where possible.
On a touchscreen, use a stylus for best results.
Type your signature
Select the Type tab. Type your full legal name in the text field. E-SignSeal renders it in a signature-style font. The typed name is displayed exactly as you enter it.
Submitting your signature
Once you have drawn or typed your signature:
Review the preview — what you see is what will be embedded in the PDF.
Select Submit signature.
A final confirmation modal asks you to confirm your submission.
Select Confirm to finalize.
Confirmation
After confirmation, the session displays a Success screen confirming your signature was recorded. The screen shows:

You will also receive a Jira notification confirming your signature was recorded.
If you were the last signer, E-SignSeal immediately generates the sealed PDF and attaches it to the linked Jira issue. You do not need to take any further action.
What you cannot do after signing
You cannot retract or modify your signature after submitting.
You cannot re-open your signing session.
If you believe you made an error, contact the Sender — they can void the contract and send a new one.
